What is an automatic correction bolus?
Control-IQ technology can deliver an automatic correction bolus when glucose levels are predicted to rise above the treatment range. An automatic correction bolus delivers 60% of calculated dose up to once an hour if glucose is predicted to be greater than or equal to 180 mg/dL in the next 30 minutes.
An Automatic Correction Bolus will not be delivered within 60 minutes of the start, cancellation, or completion of a food bolus, quick bolus, or extended food bolus. In addition, any manual correction bolus given resets the 60-minute timer for an Automatic Correction Bolus.

How do I know when an Automatic Correction Bolus is currently being delivered?
There are 2 places on your pump that will show if a Control-IQ technology automatic correction bolus is currently being delivered:
Pump Status: A white droplet in a blue square will display in the top right of the home screen when an automatic correction bolus is being delivered. Tap this droplet/pump status to show the insulin delivery count down.
