High Alert explained:
Control-IQ technology has three hours of CGM data and has increased insulin delivery, but detects a sensor glucose reading above 200 mg/dL and does not predict that the sensor glucose reading will decrease in the next 30 minutes.
If you see this alert, check your cartridge, tubing and site. Monitor your BG.
Low Alert explained:
Control-IQ technology has predicted that your sensor glucose reading will drop below 70 mg/dL, or below 80 mg/dL if Exercise is turned on, in the next 15 minutes.
If you see this alert, eat carbs and monitor your BG.
For both alerts, you will hear 2 sequences of 3 notes or 2 vibrations depending on the beep/vibrate setting selected in Alerts & Sounds.
Both pump status lights will blink yellow twice in a row before turning off for one second. This pattern is repeated for a total of five times.
The system will notify you every 5 minutes until acknowledged by tapping “OK” in the app, and then every 2 hours if the issue persists. If your predicted sensor glucose readings fall or rise back into range, the alert will clear itself.
