If you receive “Pump & IOB Reset" alarm on your Tandem Mobi app screen, it means your pump has experienced a reset. All deliveries have been stopped and the IOB (insulin on board) has been reset to 0 units/hour.
If you are unable to view your Tandem Mobi app, the alert will also be displayed on your pump by both pump status lights blinking red three times. This pattern will repeat a total of five times.
The reset alert will not delete your pump settings. However, you will need to complete the following steps to resume insulin delivery and reconnect your CGM session:
- Tap Dismiss to clear the alarm.
- You will need to complete a cartridge load process.
Note: You can reload the filled cartridge if more than 30 units are remaining in the cartridge. Always disconnect tubing from the site on your body before going through the load sequence. - Start or restart a CGM session by tapping Settings on the Tandem Mobi App Dashboard screen. Tap CGM. Tap Start Sensor. Enter in your sensor code or skip this step. This may vary depending on type of sensor used. Learn more about how to start a CGM sensor session with Tandem Mobi.
- If further assistance is needed, contact Tandem Customer Technical Support at 877-801-6901.
Important Note: After a pump restart, DO NOT rely on the IOB displayed on your Mobi App, you may have IOB from a recent bolus or basal delivery that will not be displayed. Consult your healthcare professional to determine how long you need to wait after restarting your pump before you can rely on the pump IOB calculation. Additionally, DO NOT rely on the Max Hourly Bolus Alert for 60 minutes following a pump reset.
