Whether you are continuing a current Dexcom G7 continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensor session or starting a new one, you will need to disconnect your old pump from your G7 sensor and connect the new replacement pump by following the steps below:
- Put your old pump into Storage Mode. In order to disconnect the old pump from your existing sensor session, it is important that you DO NOT stop the sensor session on your old pump. You can only have one pump connected to your Dexcom G7 CGM sensor session at a time.
Note: Wait 15 minutes before pairing to the replacement pump to help prevent pairing issues.
- Start the sensor on your replacement pump. (Options > My CGM > Start Sensor)
- Enter the pairing code on the replacement pump.
- Your replacement pump will then join the existing sensor session. It may take a few minutes for the CGM and replacement pump to connect and for CGM values to populate on your t:slim X2 insulin pump.
Note: Be sure to double check the settings on your replacement pump to ensure they are correct.
Always refer to the User Guide for important safety information and detailed step-by-step instructions on your t:slim X2 pump with the Dexcom G7 CGM. Please consult the applicable user guide and refer to the table of contents.
