Download Tandem Device Updater

Before you can update the software on your pump, you’ll need to download and install the Tandem Device Updater on a compatible and trusted computer.

The Tandem Device Updater is a desktop application that allows you to remotely add features on your in-warranty pump without having to purchase a new device.

Here’s what you’ll need to complete the process:

Compatible Computer

To download and run the latest Tandem Device Updater application you will need a trusted laptop or desktop computer.

A trusted laptop or desktop computer is defined as a personal computer with administrator rights. You might not have administrator rights if you are using a work or library computer, which is why we do not recommend using public computers. Always use a trusted computer. Smartphones and tablets (including Chromebooks) are not compatible.

If you are not sure that your laptop or desktop computer meets these operating and system requirements, please refer to your manufacturer for support. If you don’t have access to a computer that meets these requirements, please consider contacting your healthcare provider so that they may assist you.

Stable Internet Connection

A stable internet connection, such as a home Wi-Fi or wired ethernet connection, is preferred to minimize the possibility of encountering errors during both downloading the Tandem Device Updater as well as during the software update installation process. An internet connection using a public Wi-Fi connection, like at a coffee shop, might not be stable and is not recommended.

If you are using a laptop, please make sure it remains plugged in to a wall outlet during the update installation process. If you don’t have access to a computer that meets these requirements, please consider contacting your healthcare provider so that they may assist you.

Download the Tandem Device Updater

Download and install the Tandem Device Updater using the links below to ensure you are using the latest version. If you have already downloaded the application in the past, you may have an older version installed and will need to install it again.

The Tandem Device Updater should automatically start once installation is complete. However, please read the next article to make sure you are ready to start the update process within the Tandem Device Updater application.
