Update your pump using the Tandem Device Updater
Follow the instructions on the Tandem Device Updater application to update your t:slim X2 insulin pump. The update should take approximately 10 minutes.
Make sure to follow all security precautions and instructions provided in the Tandem Device Updater user guide. If you have trouble connecting your pump or starting an update, consult the Troubleshooting section of the user guide.
Download the Tandem Device Updater user guide.

Load a Cartridge and Resume Insulin
If your current cartridge has more than 120 units, you can use your existing cartridge. Otherwise, load a new cartridge after the software is updated.
You will have to complete the Fill Tubing step with a minimum of 10 units of insulin to complete the Load sequence.
/ ! \ WARNING
Always disconnect tubing from the infusion site on your body before going through the Fill Tubing step. If not, the insulin could be delivered into your body.
Download the Load a Cartridge Quick Reference for additional help.

Start or Resume CGM Sensor Session
Your pump will not display a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) graph after the update. You will need to start a new or resume your current CGM sensor session after updating.
Start a New Session
If you are starting a new CGM sensor session, enter the Sensor Code on the pump screen as prompted.
Download the Start a Sensor Session Quick Reference for additional help.
Resume a Current Session
If you had an active CGM session when you started the update process, you can resume your current session again on your pump once the update is complete. The update process will not stop the CGM session.
Tap OPTIONS, My CGM, and then Start Sensor on the pump.
• If you are resuming a current Dexcom G6 CGM sensor session, tap Skip when prompted to enter a Sensor Code
• If you are resuming a current Dexcom G7 CGM sensor session that has not been paired to your pump yet, enter the Pairing Code as prompted
After a few minutes, your insulin pump will resume your current sensor session and your CGM readings will appear on the pump Home screen.

Confirm Successful Update
