The Dexcom G7 sensor is indicated to be worn for up to 10 days, plus a 12-hour grace period at the end, for a total of 10.5 days of wear.
During the 12-hour Grace Period, the Dexcom G7 sensor will work as it did during the regular sensor session. Control-IQ technology will continue to function during sensor Grace Period. The purpose of Grace Period is to allow users more time and flexibility to change their sensors.
You can find out how much time is remaining on your Dexcom G7 sensor session on your pump or on your t:connect mobile app.
To find out how much time is remaining on your Dexcom G7 sensor session via your pump, tap on the current icon status.
Tap the down arrow twice. The Time Sensor Remaining will show you how much time is remaining on your sensor session.
To find out how much time is remaining on your Dexcom G7 sensor session via your t:connect mobile app, swipe up on your t:connect mobile app dashboard. You can also find out how much time is remaining on your sensor session in your pump settings (Settings > CGM Info).
