When Exercise Activity is turned on in the Activity menu, Control-IQ technology uses a different range of treatment values to adjust basal insulin delivery.
The treatment values used when Exercise Activity is turned on are narrower and higher to accommodate the likely natural drop in glucose levels during and following exercise. When Exercise Activity is turned on and Control-IQ predicts a glucose value less than or equal to 140 mg/dL, it will start to decrease basal insulin delivery. Control-IQ will stop basal insulin delivery if it predicts a glucose value less than or equal to 80 mg/dL.
Control-IQ technology will still increase basal insulin delivery when it predicts glucose values will be greater than 160 mg/dL and will deliver Automatic Correction Boluses when it predicts that glucose will be over 180 mg/dL 30 minutes in the future.
When using Exercise activity, the user can set a timer which will automatically turn off Exercise at the end of the programmed duration
