Training happens in a variety of ways. If your healthcare provider requests that Tandem do the training, we will contact you within 1-2 weeks after your pump ships to set up training. Some healthcare practices prefer to do their own training, in which case you will not receive a call from Tandem, instead you will receive a call from your provider’s office. If you are not sure who will be doing your training, or if you haven’t heard from Tandem within 1-2 weeks after receiving your pump, please don’t hesitate to call our Customer Support line, at 1-877-801-6901,for assistance.
If you are currently using a Tandem pump, then you will not be required by Tandem to meet with a trainer to start using your new Tandem pump. You may receive an email with a link to access your Tandem Account, and you can contact us at clinicaltraining@tandemdiabetes.com if you have any questions about new pump features or if you would like additional training.
