I’m a caregiver, does this mean I can now give my child a bolus from his/her phone without taking out their pump?
Yes. The mobile bolus feature will allow you, as a caregiver, to request (and cancel or stop) a bolus from the smartphone connected to the pump via Bluetooth technology if:
- You are an approved user on the smartphone
- You can verify this through your smartphone's authentication method (such as a passcode, or face or fingerprint recognition)
- The smartphone and the pump are in close proximity to ensure an active Bluetooth connection
- You are paired to only one smartphone at a time
Relatedly, it is important to remember that the t:connect web application is not a tool for remote monitoring and the web application cannot be used to deliver boluses.
